From an energetic point of view, As Pontes has a strategic position impossible to improve, due to the energetic mine complex of ENDESA and the closeness of REGANOSA`s gas plant.

In addition it also counts with a diversity of enterprises in which most of them are from the industrial sector.

Nearly 50% of the enterprises are of the service sector, from which more or less than +/- 40% are part of the industrial sector. The rest comes from the construction sector.
